Terms of Service

Agreement
These terms govern your use of Capely and anything you buy here. By placing an order you agree to them. If you are under 18, buy only with the permission of a parent or guardian. Capely is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios.
What we sell
Capely sells Minecraft cape redemption codes. A code is a single use string that unlocks one cosmetic cape on a Minecraft account when it is redeemed at minecraft.net/redeem. We do not sell Minecraft accounts, Minecraft itself, or any other Mojang or Microsoft product, and we cannot add a cape to an account for you. Prices are shown on the site and at checkout and can change at any time before you complete an order. We charge in US dollars. Other currencies shown on the site are an approximate conversion, there to help you judge the price.
Orders and payment
A card payment is taken on a page hosted by Stripe. A cryptocurrency payment is taken on a page hosted by NOWPayments. Your order is not confirmed until the payment has succeeded. You can buy up to five of any one cape, and up to nine different capes, in a single order.
When you start paying, we hold the codes for your order so nobody else can buy them while the payment is in flight. If the payment is not completed in time, the hold is released and those codes go back on sale. We may limit, refuse or cancel an order we reasonably believe is fraudulent, made in error, or in breach of these terms, and we will refund anything already taken.
Delivery
Codes are issued automatically, normally within seconds of a successful payment. They are shown to you on the order confirmation page and emailed to the address you gave at checkout, so you have two copies. The email is sent from an address that is not monitored. We keep a record of your order against the email address you gave at checkout, so if you lose a code, contact us with that address and we will look it up.
Immediate delivery, and your right to cancel
A cape code is digital content and it reaches you immediately, not after a day or two. By completing your purchase you ask us to deliver it straight away, you agree that delivery begins at once, and you accept that once the code has been shown to you the usual 14 day right to cancel a purchase of digital content no longer applies. That is the normal position for digital content delivered on the spot, and it is why the checkout asks you to confirm that you understand a code cannot be returned once you have seen it.
Refunds
A code cannot be un-issued once you have seen it, so a delivered code is not refundable. Three things sit outside that:
- An order that was never delivered. If your payment went through but no code was shown to you, contact us and we will either deliver it or refund you in full.
- A faulty code. If a code will not redeem and that is not down to something you did, contact us with your order details. We will look into it and, if we cannot put it right, replace the code or refund you.
- An order we cancel ourselves. If we refuse or cancel your order, we refund it in full.
A refund goes back through the payment method you used where that is possible, and otherwise we will agree another way with you. Nothing here affects rights the law gives you that cannot be signed away.
Redeeming your code
You redeem the code yourself at minecraft.net/redeem, then equip the cape in your Minecraft account settings, and in game as well on Bedrock Edition. We do not redeem codes for you and we cannot see or control your Minecraft account. We are not responsible for a code typed in wrongly, a problem on Mojang's side, or a change Mojang makes to how capes or redemption work.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site to commit fraud, to pay with someone else's card, to abuse discount or referral codes, or to attack the site itself. If something is wrong with your order, contact us first. Raising a chargeback on a code that was delivered to you, without giving us the chance to put it right, is something we will contest with the order record. We may refuse service, cancel an order, or block a customer for any of this.
Codes are sold as they are
We check a code before we list it. Minecraft, capes and redemption are Mojang's systems and not ours, so we cannot guarantee how those systems behave, what Mojang's policies allow, or how long any cape or redemption page will keep working, and we are not liable for changes Mojang or Microsoft make.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, our liability for an order is limited to what you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the shop changes. The date at the top is when they last changed. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute about them or about an order, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live somewhere else, this does not take away any protection your local consumer law gives you. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.
Contact
Reach us on Discord, which is where our support is. Quote the email address you used at checkout so we can find your order. We send receipts by email, but that address is not monitored for replies.
